This might be more expensive but have you thought about going back to school and taking some more classes? It could be a way to show you're making changes and you're getting more qualified for jobs.

I'd go with a job that starts with "researcher" and maybe sort by entry level. You could also try things like "research assistant" or "junior researcher". The best plan is to search and then browse and then create new searches based off of jobs that show up.
